Happy morning"Lose an hour in the morning, and you will be all day hunting for it." is one of Richard Whately most well know quotes.  Mornings can be hectic. It doesn't matter if you’re single, married or mom to a growing brood, it seems like there is always more to do than you can handle.

Starting the day on a possitive note and in a happier mood can give you the much needed head start in our rushed lives of today. Hectic and stressed mornings may seem to be an unavoidable part of our lives however, you can make your mornings less hectic and more relaxed, just follow these tips:

wake up1. Pack the night before
Are you always rushing around in the morning looking for your shoes, keys and appointment book? Instead of running around for twenty minutes of your already short morning, pack the night before. Get everything you are going to take with you put together and even decide on what you’re going to wear. Teach your spouse and children these same habits, because you know in the morning when your daughter can’t find her binder, you will be the one going crazy looking for it.

2. Create a to-do list
If you are someone who tends to forget things or what you’re supposed to be do, create a list the night before that you can follow. Creating the list the night before means that you won’t be rushing to remember things and will allow you to create a complete list that you simply need to follow the next day. The more people you have to help get out the door, the longer your list will probably be.

Routine3. Create a routine
If you live with even just one other person, a morning can become overwhelming just trying to get into the bathroom. Implement some kind of system that always everyone in the household the time they need. When everyone works together to make mornings run smoother, everyone will have a more relaxed start to the day. Set everyone up with a job, so that while one person is in the shower, another person can be toasting bread for breakfast. Mornings don’t have to be a rush, but everyone does have to pitch in. It might take some time to find a routine that works, but you will.

4. Wake up to a clean house
Imagine waking up to a sparkling bathroom and kitchen. Imagine not tripping over toys when you first step out into the hallway. It’s all possible.  As with packing the night before, if you want to wake up to a tidier house in the morning, it’s got to be done the night before. This doesn't mean you have to spend hours cleaning. Just imagine how you’d like it to look and feel when you wake up in the morning. Waking up in an environment that you love is more relaxing than waking up to a mess that stresses you out.

Creating a stress-free morning is possible. It’s all about pre-planning instead of waiting until the last possible moment.
